WELDING FAQS

Everything you need to know about our welded bracelet experience.

Permanent jewellery or welded bracelets is one of the newest and most intriguing trends happening
right now. We use a simple welding method to secure the most beautiful, delicate gold or silver chain to perfectly fit your wrist with a seamless, clasp less finish. The perfect 'forever' memento.

Absolutely. The bracelet is only welded closed, it does not weld to your skin. We use the highest
quality machine on the market and the spark that is generated from the machine does not reach high
temperatures. We also provide protective eyewear and a protective layer between the skin and the jewellery between welds.

Yes, although we love the fact these bracelets are clasp less and are the perfect 'forever' memento,
they can be removed with a pair of sharp scissors. We can also add a clasp at any point if you decide
to make it removable.

Solid gold or silver does not impact an MRI scan as it is not magnetic. However some medical professionals ask you to remove all jewellery or clothing with metal parts. If your welded jewellery
needs to be removed, simply cut the chain at the jump ring and it can be brought back to the salon to
be re-welded.

This jewellery can undergo months of wear without needing to be cleansed! To maintain the integrity
of the link, aftercare can be used to remove debris or build-up. An aftercare cloth will be provided to help keep it looking its best.

Jewellery will only set off metal detectors if it's made from magnetic metals. Solid gold is not magnetic
so will not set off airport alarms. Sterling silver is also not magnetic.

As this is a bespoke, personalised service with made-to-measure chains, we can not offer refunds. If
you lose your chain we can not offer a refund. If you break your chain at the weld point within the first
week, bring your chain back and we will re-weld it free of charge. After this period of time a charge will be made for re-welding.

The standard bookings are for one person. However, we do offer a duo appointment if you would like to book with a friend. We can also offer welding parties too, think hen-do's, birthdays and Christmas parties.

Your appointment will last for around 20 minutes.

We are very lucky at Last Night I Dreamt to have our in-house piercing and welding specialist, Sasha.

You shouldn't have a welded bracelet if you have a pacemaker fitted.

Our age restrictions on welding are a minimum of 10 years old. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. It is a good idea to check your school's policies regarding wearing jewellery for sports etc.

Avoid regular direct contact with perfume, body creams and sunlight.

Be mindful whilst engaging in activities that may catch the jewellery.

Yes, you can add charms both on the day and in the future too if you would like to add to your bracelet design.

Occasionally, bracelets can snap if they are caught on something. If this happens within the first week around the seemless clasp area, bring the bracelet back to us and we will re-weld it for free. In this instance we need the bracelet back to be able to re-weld it and evidence that the seemless clasp was the area of weakness.

All other breakages are the responsibility of the wearer.

Yes, you can choose to completely curate your wrist with a range of welded bracelets and charms.
