I am like a child at Christmas and it still holds all the magic for me. I often get asked what I would like or what my favourite pieces are in the shop. So I thought for my final December blog of the year I’d let you in on a few pieces I’m hoping will make it under my Christmas tree this year.
Metier Eiffel Heavy Chain with Swivel £1075
(plaque purchased separately)
My ultimate solid gold necklace. Yes it’s speny but in a culture of consumerism where more shops are pushing costumer jewellery, we are encouraging you to buy less but buy better and invest in solid gold. Become a conscious consumer and understand the difference between solid gold/gold vermeil/gold/filled and gold plated. Read my recent blog on this here.
Go vintage, pre-loved or rent this Christmas
I recently purchased a vintage sequin jacket from Nottingham brand Raf & Grace which I adore. Being vintage, it’s a one off which being me, I love! My favourite vintage shop as you all know is Vintage Vixen in Newark and in Nottingham’s creative quarter, I also love Braderie on Pelham Street in Nottingham.
Renting…
I’m obsessed with The Vampire’s Wife dresses and it would be a dream to own one but if I have any events that require such a dress as this, next year I’ll be renting from a website called The Hurr Collective. It’s cost prohibitive for me to own this stunning dress but I could be Cinderalla and go to the ball in this for one night only!
Our pals in Southwell, Conscious Closet, also have an amazing pop up this Christmas with party dresses that will ensure you sparkle bright this season.
Investment piece
My Christmas Day outfit (so not strictly a gift under the tree) will be a pair of Daily Sleeper Pyjamas from Studio B Fashion (a fabulous online independent selling some of my favourite brands!)
The Christmas Jumper
Who doesn’t love to snuggle up at Christmas in a gorgeous piece of knitwear. I’ll be shopping local in Southwell this Christmas and investing in this from Real Clothing…
Real Clothing - American Vintage East Cardigan £140
Christmas PJs
I am obsessed with pyjamas and this Christmas for our tradition of the Christmas Eve Box, I’ve invested in matching pj’s for the kids and I from Southwell shop, Hattie & Moo… (Contact Emily for details!) Made from Sustainable cotton, these pjs are not only ethical but they wash soooo well!
I’ll be teaming my Hattie & Moo pjs with Ugg slippers! Hoping Santa has listened to my request for these beaties from The Dressing Room.
Hot Chocolate time
A Christmas Eve tradition is to get into our above Christmas pjs and drink hot chocolate whilst watching The Polar Express. No matter how old you get this is still magical! I’ve ordered two from Studio Chocolate in Cobden Chambers in Nottingham.
I’ll be teaming it with a Christmas Eve treats box from Little Brunette Bakery
Christmas Scent
I’ll be wearing Amber on repeat as I know many of you will be…
You can also shop all 5 fragrances by Laboratory perfumes in this cute little lifestyle set.
Sticking with scent… Our iconic Last Night I Dreamt candle has a new big sister which you can shop here…

Art for Christmas
We’ve been doing our garden forever (don’t ask!) so it won’t be this Christmas but I’ve been hankering after a Meghan Hatton painting for a long time. Meghan is a lovely customer of ours and I just love her artwork. You can shop her current pieces here…
Gin Club
My husband got my a drinks trolley last Christmas which is a little bit extra! This Christmas I quite fancy shopping in Southwell from Mr and Mrs Fine Wine and trying…
The Ecelectic Gin Society Spiced Gin £36.99
My little bar area may also require even more sass with a neon light from Southwell home shop, Home By Tea
You can’t have Christmas without…
CHEEEEEEEESE
This year, I’ll be buying my cheese from Southwell’s finest, The Old Theatre Deli with lots of chutney’s and artisan biscuits too! Mouth watering as I write.
I’ll end with some sparkles…
On Christmas Day if I’m not wearing my Daily Sleeper pjs I may manage a Christmas dress! This year mine is from, Sass and Edge.
Vivian Dress Bronze Metallic Diamonds - £193
I’ll be wearing it with my Margaux Studios Karenina necklace which I’ve been wearing on repeat…
Margaux Studios Karenina necklace - £170
