What’s in your Summer Jewellery Box?
Summer maybe slightly different this year. Who knows if I’ll be heading back for another Greek Island adventure in August. Many of us are holding back on buying clothes wondering if there’s any point in that new dress when we won’t have a holiday to take it on. It may seem odd talking about jewellery in the current climate. However, I think not! Here’s why...
In a culture of fast disposable fashion where we are led by the latest trends, following what bloggers have been gifted and obsessing over staying current with our look, there’s a timelessness to jewellery that I love. In that sense, if you buy jewellery and choose investment pieces that will last, the sustainability of jewellery promotes a move towards slow fashion. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, buy less but buy well. Whilst our boutique may be closed, we’ve never been so busy online. Maybe it’s to do with people feeling like deep down there’s no guilt attached to shopping for something that you know you’ll wear time and again. Whereas you may hold back on that dress ticking a catwalk trend box, that necklace that falls outside of fashion, holds some appeal.
With that in mind, we wanted to take you on a jewellery journey and hopefully inspire you with some summer pieces you’ll wear this summer, next summer and many summers to come.
Aperol & Anna Beck
Aperol Spritz in hand, barefoot in a maxi dress, hair undone and dripping in Anna Beck. Totally my summer vibe! It’s best to begin with our favourite go to brand for the summer, Anna Beck. Launching instore this week we have the latest limited edition collection landing at LNID HQ. We expect it to be gone super quick as the stone of choice for this limited collection is turquoise. We’ve received so many messages asking us when this collection will arrive. There’s a timeless beauty to turquoise. A stone that can be worn with floaty dresses in the summer and a navy turtleneck in the winter. Here’s some Anna Beck inspo to get you excited...
I’m in love with the Large Turquoise Pendant Necklace (£395)
I’ve also completely fallen in love with the Large Turquoise Pave Triple Drop earrings (£345) I’ll team the earrings with my new dress by The Devotion Twins from The Dressing Room.
My final pick from the Anna Beck collection is the Turquoise Pave Open Circle Necklace. The perfect lockdown necklace and the eternity shape echoes the fact you can wear this for an eternity and never tire of it. (£220)
Ibiza Days
Sunsets & mojitos, denim shorts and sand between your toes dancing to chilled Ibiza classics and wearing Rachel Entwistle. The latest designer to join our jewellery family of fabulous designers is Rachel Entwistle. As seen in Vogue and loved by celebs like F.K.A Twigs. Rachel is based between London and Ibiza and has her own boutique in super cool Shoreditch. Each piece of jewellery is carefully crafted by skilled artisans in their inhouse studio and Rachel’s designs draw on mythology, anthropology and history. Our kinda boho vibe, Rachel Entwistle’s jewellery couldn't be more perfect and timeless for summer.
I’m obsessing over the Arcadia and Ishtar earrings and can’t decide between the two. Which ones do you love?
If you’re going to create an arm stack this summer, it needs to include this newbie, our Ouroboros Snake bangle.
An ancient symbol of eternity, nature and resurrection this handmade in London piece is a summer showstopper.
Ouroboros Snake bangle in gold (£280)
We love a protective talisman particularly one that’s been featured in Vogue Paris and that’s called Rays of Light. How beautiful is this ring. Oh and check out the matching necklace too.
Rays of Light ring (£140)

Pearl Perfection
We are approaching the month of the pearl, June. This stone couldn’t be more apt for summer. Not only that but the softness of a pearl is so beautifully enhancing and lifts your skin. How about pearls with a summer twist too? We are super excited about the newness that’s recently landed from Claudia Bradby. Clauda’s new Dream catcher collection has us dreaming of high summer. The perfect from beach to bar jewellery.
I’m in love with these Cowrie shell pearl earrings £135
Also, the double Helix drop are stunning. £135
The long Circle of Life pendant can be worn on the beach before you head to the bar. £145
Mishky magic
I needn’t really give Mishky anymore of an introduction as it’s been a huge hit online. Mishky combined with our Anna Beck makes for the perfect summer stack of choice.
I am lusting after this one. It just makes me Happy!
Lobe love has never been so colourful with these babies. You may not get to sit under that palma tree sipping cocktails but these earrings will transport you places in your dreams.
I’ve worn them loads already and had so much love for them. My Sublime Heart earrings add a much needed colour pop to any outfit. As purchased by (not gifted!!) Taylor Swift. They’re a thing of beauty and so pretty for Summer don’t you think?
As I’m still dreaming of my Greek adventure, I’ll end on my favourite Greek designer. All her jewellery is handmade and stunning. We absolutely adore Joanna Cave.
Greek Island Adventure
This Summer these Joanna Cave babies will take me to Kefalonia and My Little Place on the Hill even if it’s simply in my head.
How cute is the Faraine necklace to wear with your boho floaty tops and dresses?
I hope you’ve enjoyed my Summer jewelry inspired thoughts. You never forget where you purchased a piece of jewellery and it’s that foreverness and links to special times and special people, that makes buying jewellery worth its weight in gold. No fast fashion where our jewellery’s concerned. I’ve hopefully brought to you some of the vest best sustainable and handmade jewellery there is that will last you this summer and many summers to come.
Happy Summer Jewels Browsing!
