Another new year and a chance to look ahead, dream some dreams, make plans and take stock of what’s been, where you’re happy and where you’d like to make some changes! For Last Night I Dreamt January is a month of buying new sparkles for the coming year and this year couldn’t be more exciting for us as we move to a much bigger shop in Southwell, Nottingham…Number 1 King Street!
We got the key to our new jewellery home a few weeks ago and have started dreaming dreams! Don’t worry, you’ll will most definitely recognise us when we launch our new boutique but the reason for our move is that we’re bursting at the seams and want to make space for our customers and to launch some of the dreams we’ve held for a long time.
We’re already housing the very best British and International jewellery designers in Nottingham and have an unrivalled family of brands but for us the next chapter is launching a bespoke jewellery studio in our Nottingham jewellers. This will give us the opportunities to bring a customer’s vision to life, create that perfect wedding or engagement ring, breath new life into an old piece of jewellery and as we’ve done with our brands, become the go to destination for bespoke jewellery in Nottingham for handmade jewellery. We have strong links with wonderful wedding suppliers in Nottingham, Southwell and often work closely with the likes of Frances Day Bridal, Gigil and Bloom, Southwell Cakery, Norwood Park and The Old Vicarage, Pear and Bear Photography to help our brides find their sparkles on their wedding day or carry out the most wonderfully creative collab bridal shoots. As we grow our fine collection of sparkles we’ll be able to offer ‘off the peg’ rings to customers… READ ON…

Which brings me onto another exciting dream for 2022…
Having your ears pierced isn’t always the loveliest of experience is it? Department stores like Liberty London have led the way with their Maria Tash piercing studio, one of our brands Astrid & Miyu offer a lovely experience and we are bringing a slice of London to Nottingham and launching the first upmarket ear piercing studio in Nottingham. Whether it’s a first piercing or you have multiple ear piercing, our goal in 2022 is to create a lovely studio experience which you’ll never forget and tell or your friends about. Later this month we’ll be the first boutique in the UK to launch Hannah Bourn Jewellery. We love being the first to discover and launch a collection. Hannah graduated with a first class degree in Jewellery Design at the prestigious Central St Martins in London, where she developed her passion for exploring the human connection with the natural world, and channelling her artistic concepts into three-dimensional sculptural forms for adorning the body. She wants to create jewellery that offers diverse pieces connecting people to nature despite their surroundings: to help them find tranquility, like the feeling of being by the sea, and what we associate with our senses on touching raw, natural materials. Hannah’s work is lovingly handmade in her Lincolnshire studio, demonstrating quality, craftsmanship, sustainability and creating sensory artefacts to treasure both now and in the future. The Duchess has joined our By Sara Christie collection! Sara named this collection after her Grandmother, Icilda Speid, better known as Speedy. She was The Duchess, the Matriarch of the family. She was the mother of Sara’s father Fred who was also known as Duke. Speedy’s elegance was simple. It had nothing to do with fashion, her style was classic and regal, but had everything to do with her kindness, grace and beauty that didn’t fade.She was a woman to be remembered.
