CHILDREN'S EAR PIERCING

We know a first piercing can be a daunting experience for little ones, so we provide the opportunity for them to have their first piercing in the privacy of our bespoke piercing studio. Find out more about our ear piercing service for children below.

AGE REQUIREMENTS:

7 - 16 YEARS OLD: 
For this age group we offer lobe piercing only. We will only pierce up to two lobe piercings on each ear for this age group. 

16 - 18 YEARS OLD:
For this age group we will also offer helix piercings as well as lobe piercings.

Please note, we have a strict policy regarding piercing the ages stated above.

APPOINTMENTS:

Each children's appointment booked MUST have an adult with parental responsibilities present during the appointment. This person cannot be a relation other than a parent unless they have legal guardian responsibilities.

The relaxing atmosphere, a welcome drink and an opportunity to choose something yummy from our sweetie bar will make the appointment a fun and memorable experience. Your children are also in extra safe hands with our piercer, Laura who has a wealth of piercing experience. 

The appointment will be for 30 minutes and this includes time for up to 2 piercings. This time slot does not include time to browse for your jewellery, so make sure you arrive around 15 minutes early to leave enough time to choose your piercing jewellery. The price for your appointment is £20. This is a service charge and does not include the jewellery that you will be pierced with.

PIERCING TREATMENTS:

At Last Night I Dreamt we offer two types of piercing treatments, you can find out more about these below. For younger children we would recommed the Studex method.

STUDEX PIERCING:

At Last Night I Dreamt we are delighted to included Studex as part of our piercing packages.

Studex offers a hand pressure instrument method, so a gentle application. Each of the earrings used for piercing are pointed at the end and lightweight to assist with a more comfortable piercing experience.

The Studex treatment offers a faster piercing process for children or those nervous about needles.

NEEDLE PIERCING:

At Last Night I Dreamt we also offer the needle piercing method. This method is considered by many in the industry as the best way to pierce due to its sharp application method. This is the best and only method to pierce many of the places on the ear that contain cartlidge.

With this piercing technique the jewellery is inserted after the piercing has taken place which can prolong the small amount of pain during the procedure. Due to this we only recommend this type of piercing to adults and older children who can understand the process.

PIERCING JEWELLERY:

Specialist jewellery is needed for your piercing. This is to ensure the piece is sterile and comfortable. We will not pierce with any other jewellery than our own. The jewellery you choose is additional in cost to the appointment price. We have a range of piercing jewellery designs available which starts from around £29 for a pair of earrings and £15 for a single earring.

AFTERCARE:

The aftercare of a piercing is very important as new piercings can become infected if not cared for correctly. We recommend supporting your child with their cleaning routine. As part of their aftercare package your child will be given a care guide card, cleaning solution to use at home and a chart to follow for their cleaning routine.

OUR PIERCING SPECIALIST:

We are very lucky at Last Night I Dreamt to have our in-house piercing specialist, Sasha, who has carried out all required training and health and safety regulations to become a qualified piercer. Sasha has a wealth of experience in piercing both children and adults.
