PIERCING FAQS

AT No.1 KING STREET!

A LUXURY PIERCING EXPERIENCE - ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

CAN MORE THAN ONE PERSON USE AN APPOINTMENT?

No, only one person per appointment booked is allowed. This is due to heath and safety regulations and there are no exceptions to this.

CAN MY JEWELLERY BE CHANGED?

This depends on the area you have had the piercing. Lobes typically take around 8 weeks to heal, whilst cartilage can usually take up to 1 year to fully heal. We recommend waiting until your piercing has fully healed before attempting to change the jewellery as this can lead to pain and infection.

MY PIERCING IS PAINFUL, IS SOMETHING WRONG?

Initially your piercing may be painful and a cartilage piercing can take up to one year to fully heal. During this healing period you may experience times where the piercing is uncomfortable. During these times we recommend always keeping the jewellery in place. Removing it can lead to infection. Use the aftercare solution provided at your appointment for as long as the piercing requires it. This routine us useful to remember if your piercing becomes irritated even after the healing period.

AN OLD PIERCING HAS HEALED OVER, CAN I HAVE ANOTHER IN THE SAME PLACE?

This entirely depends on the person and the area of scar tissue. Please contact us if you have this issue and we can assess the area for you.

CAN I BRING MY OWN PIERCING JEWELLERY TO THE APPOINTMENT?

No, due to health and safety and ensuring the piercing jewellery is adequately sterilised, we will only pierce with our own jewellery.

CAN I HAVE A PIERCING WITH A HOOP?

Yes, although we do recommend a stud for initial piercings. This helps to prevent infection and the piercing from being caught. If you would really like a hoop we do offer a solid gold option.

CAN ONLY WOMEN HAVE THIER EARS PIERCED?

No, we welcome anyone to have their ears pierced with us and have a range of jewellery to suit all tastes.

WHAT ARE YOUR RESTRICTIONS FOR PIERCING?

- You must not have taken any drugs or alcohol for 24 hours before the appointment.
- You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You must have eaten within the 4 hours before your appointment to avoid feeling faint.
