Ear Piercing Guide
EAR PIERCING GUIDE
AT LAST NIGHT I DREAMT
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR LAST NIGHT I DREAMT PIERCING EXPERIENCE.
We know you might have a few questions so below is our guide to having your ears pierced at Last Night I Dreamt.
Each appointment booked with us is for one person only. You may have one person accompany you if needed, although ideally your appointment is just for you. The exception to this rule is for children, for whom someone with parental responsibility is required to be present. Your appointment will be for 30/50 minutes depending on the appointment type and this includes time for up to 2 piercings (unless you are booking for a conch, tragus, rook or daith piercing which is one piercing per appointment). This time slot does not include time to browse for your jewellery, so make sure you arrive around 15 minutes early to leave enough time to choose your piercing jewellery. The price for your appointment is £20 (£30 for a conch, tragus, rook, daith or nose piercing). This is a service charge and does not include the jewellery that you will be pierced with.
At Last Night I Dreamt we focus on ear piercing only. Below are the areas of the ear that can be pierced. The location of the piercing on your ear will determine the type of piercing treatment needed.
Specialist jewellery is needed for your piercing. This is to ensure the piece is sterile and comfortable. We will not pierce with any other jewellery than our own. The jewellery you choose is additional in cost to the appointment price. We have a range of piercing jewellery designs available which starts from around £29 for a pair of earrings and £15 for a single earring.
The aftercare of your piercing is very important as new piercings can become infected if not cared for correctly. We recommend prioritising your aftercare within your usual daily routine to ensure the best results. Healing time for piercings will vary depending on the person, but as long as you carry out the instructions on our aftercare cards and use our aftercare pack that you will receive at your appointment, it is unlikely that you will have problems with your piercing.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR PIERCING:
You may initially have some swelling, bruising and bleeding in the area you have had pierced. This area may also feel hot and look red. This will subside.
For a while after and during the healing process you may experience the following:
- A white fluid that crusts around your jewellery
The care of your piercing is your responsibility and so long as you follow the guidance offered on our aftercare card your piercing should heal well. If you do experience any infections or issues of concern please contact us or your GP. We advise that you do not remove any jewellery from the area in these cases until they have been assessed by us or your GP. This is to prevent further infection within the piercing wound.
OUR PIERCING SPECIALIST:
We are very lucky at Last Night I Dreamt to have our in-house piercing specialist, Sasha. You are in the safest of hands with Sasha who before joining us worked in a well known Nottingham piercing studio. Sasha is a piercing enthusiast and can help you curate the perfect pierced ear.
For your piercing to take place it is important that you adhere to the following.
- You must not have taken any blood thinning medication in the 24 hours before the appointment, such as aspirin.
- You must not have taken any drugs or alcohol for 24 hours before the appointment.
- You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You must have eaten within the 4 hours before your appointment to avoid feeling faint.
- We will require a note from your GP if you have any medical conditions such as epilepsy or if you are taking any blood thinning medication.
Please feel free to contact us to discuss any of these points before making your appointment.
We are very excited to offer a luxury piercing experience for children. We know this can be a daunting experience for little ones, so we provide the opportunity for them to have their first piercing in the privacy of our bespoke piercing studio. The relaxing atmosphere, a welcome drink and an opportunity to choose something yummy from our sweetie bar will make it a fun and memorable experience. Your children are also in extra safe hands with our experienced piercer, Sasha. Please note, there are age restrictions for piercing children.
